No author is specified. "Last month, the Curve was officially designated as a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service of the United States Department of the Interior." (Page 2)

Description:  Here is the left-hand portion of a one-page article entitled "National Honor Comes To 113-year-old Horseshoe Curve." It was published originally in the 1 July 1967 issue of "The Pennsy," page 4. Partially visible in the photo is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918.

Description:  Here is the right-hand portion of a one-page article entitled "National Honor Comes To 113-year-old Horseshoe Curve." It was published originally in the 1 July 1967 issue of "The Pennsy," page 4. Bottom Photo, Partial Caption: "The Curve went to two tracks in 1855, three tracks in 1898, four tracks in 1900. This photo was taken in the 1870's." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #751, an H-1 (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during November of 1879 and sold to Torbert & Peckham in May of 1902. Also visible is the original Kittanning Point Station, along with the Station Master's house and his fenced-in/deer-proofed garden.
