Title:  PREX 105
Description:  Gettysburg Railway (PREX 105) sits parked for the weekend on the ND&W mainline with an eastbound local from Woodburn in Cecil. Usually when the crews tie down trains in Cecil, they will park them on the LaFarge lead. But, due to a tank car and a ballast cleaner on the lead, I would guess they had to sit it in this location.

Description:  Would have been cool to catch this moving. Even though they have done very good work repairing the tracks from the MAW, Cecil still is one of the worst locations on the line. Would be cool to see a train leaning at a 75-80 degree angle. And, along with the engines unique paint scheme compared to the rest of the black and yellow PREX engines assigned to the ND&W, this unit has a very unique horn.

Description:  After shooting the ND&W and checking the signals on CSX at Defiance, we moved onto Sherwood and spent some time there. Our first train was CSX Q016, but my camera decided to act up right as soon as came, so I didnt get a shot of it. Thankfully, CSX K427 followed it closely behind which gave me a 2nd chance, since it did have almost the exact same engines leading it; a pair of GEVOs.

Description:  After CSX turned off quiet, we decided to keep continuing east to Hicksville. On a small siding outside of Mark Center, there were several pieces of track equipment. Had to take the shot through the side window, but it appears CSX is going to be doing some extensive work here soon.

CSX 877
Title:  CSX 877
Description:  CSX 877 sits parked with CSX Q315 just east of CP INDO outside of St. Joe. Suprisingly, this train was completely off-line. No crew and neither of the engines were running. That is kind of unusual for trains that swap crews here. Also, the symbol is interesting as well. This train is a unit sand train, and yet it is running with a manifest symbol. Hunter Harrison did quite a few make overs to CSX overall, which included abolishing trains and combining trains, which screwed up the symbol system.

Description:  CSX was still very quiet, so we decided to cut off towards New Haven and NS. After getting a bite to eat at Bob Evans on St. Road 37, we cut over to East Wayne yard to catch some action then end off the day. First, we saw NS 34N backing its cut-off into East Wayne yard. Little did we know at this moment that this train had quite the power at the head end.

Description:  I have no idea why, but for some reason NS L96s power was put on the head end of a road freight that was building a train on the west side of the yard. I would guess that they led that train out of the yard, but I didnt stay long enough to see myself. Definitely would have been cool to see a pair of SD40-2s lead a road train!
