Classic 2-8-0 narrow guage Consolidation built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in March of 1896 as Florence & Cripple Creek #8 (c/n 14769) and named "Goldfield". Afteer the F&CC closed, the loco was sold to D&RG and became their #428 (class 72) in 1917. The loco was renumbered DRGW #318 in 1924 (reclassified as C-18). After retirement, the loco was donated to Colorado RR Museum in 1954. No exact date, location or photographer was given but it appears that the slide was taken in early 1950's. |

No exact date, location or photographer was given for this color slide. Although the slide was stamped with the date April 1974, it most likely was taken in early 1950's. |
