Album Info:Here are six photos of Long Island Rail Road steam locomotives that were taken by Mr. Frederick W. Weingetz, Jr. They are organized by locomotive class, then by road number. All of them were purchased in a single eBay auction conducted by Mr. Nick Bohmann on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.

Description:  Weingetz. Here is an original photo by Frederick W. Weingetz, Jr., that was taken in Oyster Bay, New York, c. 1935. Shown here is Long Island Rail Road engine #7766, an E-7S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata as a Pennsylvania Railroad E-2B during October of 1907, rebuilt as an E-7S in June of 1916, and retired in April of 1937 after 30 years of faithful service. Many thanks to Mr. Robert Hess for identifying this location correctly.

Shown here is Long Island Rail Road engine #9771, an H-6SB (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as Pennsylvania Railroad H-6B number "7934" during 1905, renumbered "9771" in March of 1912, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-6SB in March of 1919, and retired in July of 1939 after 34 years of faithful service.
