Album Info: | I've passed this location twice now within 60 days days and I took note of the locomotives viewable in the distance from Texas Highway 7.
So, on my way back from Austin, I pulled over to the shoulder, and grabbed two shots of the locomotives:
NREX 3050 [EMD rebuilt SD50 5/1972], is an ex-FURX (First Union Rail Leasing) #3050; and originally Canadian Pacific #5589.
The black unit is an ex-SD45T-2. A little research on my part uncovered her true heritage:

c/n: 72601-19
built: April 1972
ex-PRLX 2843 (Progress Rail Leasing) [SD40T-2]
exx-Union Pacific 2843 [SD40T-2]

nee: Southern Pacific 9227 [SD45T-2]
