Album Info:The CPKC Holiday Train ran the KCS in late November 2023, running the Heavener Sub on Nov 28. We won't get the KCS train this year, as it is running in Louisiana and Texas. When I last saw the CP train, it was in Binghamton NY on the D&H, and had a GE for power. This was a nice looking train. Too bad they didn't do more stops on the Heavener Sub. We saw it in Joplin, and followed to Siloam Springs. The other shows that day were in the morning at Pittsburg Kan, and at Heavener that evening.

Right at me
Title:  Right at me
Description:  The Holiday Train rolls right at me into the curve at Goodman. There is work going on near the tracks, and the access that had been closer to the crossing is no longer available, so I had to do a tele shot from a ways back. So it goes.

Last shot
Title:  Last shot
Description:  The Holiday train passes the Cobb feed mill at Siloam Springs. In retrospect, I should have taken the last shot at Davidson Rd, which was in shadow. Its counterintuitive, but the lack of sun would have highlighted the holiday lighting on the train. This is still pretty good, though!!

Mount Royal
Title:  Mount Royal
Description:  Office car Mount Royal speeds past at Country Club Rd in Siloam Springs. I have some history with this car. Back in 1992, when CP was new to the D&H, they sent two cars to the Steamtown Railfan Weekend, Mt Stephen, and this car. I was a member of the Southern Tier Division of the RRE, and volunteered to help out as a car host. I mostly hosted the Mt Stephen, but did some time on this car as well. So 30 plus years later, here it is again!!
