KCS No. 55 |
Description: |
Kansas City Southern train 55 was descending the east side of the Mississippi River bridge at Baton Rouge behind GP40's 785 and 758, with an unidentified GP38-2. No. 55 was on its way from Dallas to the Norfolk Southern yard in New Orleans, and the bridge underneath the engines belonged to the Illinois Central Gulf. |

Description: |
A pair of KCS GP40's were tied up on the engine track at Leesville. The cars in the yard would indicate that pulp wood and wood chips were big business around here! |
