SCOTT STREET ROUNDHOUSE
in New Orleans, three months before it was officially retired. The locomotive had been built by Baldwin (31724) in 1907 as Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific 723, was renumbered Southern Railway System 6203 in 1917 and was “sold” to the NO&NE as the 6903 in 1923. (approximate date of photo)

MILW 2-8-0 #7102 - Chicago, Milwaukee, St Paul & Pacific
Description:
This 1910 Baldwin built Milwaukee Road C2 class Consolidation had 63" drivers, and could generate 200 psi of builer pressure to feed to its 23"x30" cylinders. The engine weight was 215,700 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 42,824 lb. Tthe class was retired between 1936-1954. No photograher was listed and the date is an approximation.

Shown here are four Pennsylvania Railroad "Consolidations" built by four different firms. #7234 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "7234" during December of 1913, renumbered "7563" in 1958, and retired in October of 1958. #9989 was built in Juniata as Vandalia H-8C number "419" during February of 1912, rebuilt by Vandalia as H-8SC number "361" in September of 1916, renumbered PRR "8824" in 1917, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in November of 1920, renumbered "9889" in 1951, later renumbered "9989," and retired in August of 1957. #9895 was built by the American Locomotive Company during June of 1913 and retired in October of 1957. #8173 was built by the Lima Locomotive Works during October of 1915 and retired in October of 1957. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam Power ~ East and West" that's produced by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (816-11).
