GCRY coach 800 |
| Description: |
Grand Canyon Railway 800 is a Budd Class coach with 68 seats and is ADA-compliant. It was built by Budd in February 1955 as Boston & Maine 6203, an RDC-2 baggage-coach. It was subsequently Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 6203 and was subsequently rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen into unpowered cab car 1402. Notice where the baggage door had been located at the near end of the car. The car moved on to Virginia Railway Express as the V800, then to Caltrain as JPBX V800 and then to the GCRY. |

| Description: |
Grand Canyon Railway cars 800 and 801 were both built in February 1955 for the Boston & Maine as RDC-2 combines. When these were rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen as unpowered BOISE BUDD cab cars, they retained a headlight and end windows at one end. Notice the flat stainless steel where the 800's baggage door had been. |
