BNSF engine facility, Wenatchee  Contributor's Pick!
Wenatchee is BNSF's mid-state crew change base located on the ex-GN Seattle to Spokane mainline. At one time it was the eastern end of the road's electric operations, which ran west over the Cascade Mountains to Skykomish. The current engine facility is located downtown next to the depot and crew facilities. Here we see, from right to left, a GP38-2 switcher, five units on an empty grain train, a pair of local units and a duo of CSX C40-8s skulking about.
