Meadows. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Engine Ready Tracks at Meadows Yard near Kearny, New Jersey, c. 1953. The photographer is not identified. Prominent here is PRR engine #5771, a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965 after 17 years of service. Note the unidentified wire maintenance car at the far left. ("Stoneborobranch"; #15 of 31) |
