Fresh paint on Precision National Corporation SD18m 1809 on the BN at Clyde, Illinois, May 1980, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 1809 was built in January 1960 as Southern SD24 6309 (c/n 25658) on EMD Order 5606, was sold to PNC in January 1978, leased out as PNC 6309, rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in 1979, returned as PNC SD18m 1809 (PNC listed the model as SD10), leased out for about a year to the BN during late 1979 - early 1980, leased to the C&NW starting in late 1980, purchased by the C&NW from PNC on March 31, 1982, renumbered to C&NW 6627 (C&NW listed the PNC SD10 as SD18R), repainted to C&NW's Zito Yellow sometime after August 1982, reported to have become RLK 1801.
