Splitting the semaphores  Contributor's Pick!
The Tier was known for its many Erie RR era semaphores. There were at least two pairs, one at Arkport, about five miles west of Hornell, rarely seen due to the walk in nature of their location; and this pair at Tioga Center, which were adjacent to NY 17C, and easy to photograph. ABBU, running wrong main, passes between them on its way west.
