| Having passed under the massive signal bridge, this EMD SD45-2 unit built by EMD in November of 1972 glides past the boarded up Marion Union Station, once the hub of a very busy passenger service. Note the tower is in its original locaiton across from the station (now it stands next to the station) and the man (tower man or photographer?) standing on the platfrom watching the train pass (extreme right side). An unknown photographer caught this action shot. |
