| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6307 and #6300. Both are AF-27's built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower each. They are returning to East Altoona after pushing a westbound freight train up the Allegheny Mountains. |
