| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9525 and #9641-B. Both were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9525 is an EF-15 constructed in July of 1948 and retired in August of 1966, while #9641-B is an EF-15A built in March of 1950. They're pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight and are about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge. (#29 of 44) |
