Horseshoe Curve-1966. Here is an original photo that I took at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, during early May of 1966. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #7025, a PRR engine whose number is not legible, as well as Bangor and Aroostook Railroad engine #77. All three were built by EMD. #7025 is an EFS-17M built in 1955 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are pulling a westbound mixed-cargo freight. |
