| Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad locomotive at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 18 July 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #8667, an AS-18AM built by the American Locomotive Company during 1958 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It is returning to East Altoona after helping or pushing a train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, Pennsylvania. |
