| There are a number of grade crossings on the CTA, on Congress St line. Coming from New York(which, oddly, had one on the Canarsie Line, the LL train, at the time) where such things are unheard of, I found it interesting that there would be not one, but several, on this line. Even more amazing, given the lines urban character, are the cattle guards. Im thinking they were installed a long time ago, when the area may have been more agricultural, and just never removed. |
