Marlow. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione. Shown here pulling the "Tubular Train" is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4882, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during February of 1939, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and presently on display at the New York Central Railroad Museum in Elkhart, Indiana. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#10 of 12)

Tom Beckett General This engine was one of the last to be retired, in 1983, running out its last days for New Jersey Transit between NY Penn Station and South Amboy NJ. It was painted into PC's black following that merger, which it wore til the end. 8/25/2019 2:36:36 AM
