In this photo taken from the shady side of the tracks, Louisville & Nashville 4-6-2 269 was powering northbound train No. 10 on the median of Elysian Fields Avenue at North Robertson Street in New Orleans. These tracks were removed in late 1954, after New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal was placed in full operation.(approximate date of photo) |
