CTA 4000 Series on Lake Street El at Cicero
Date approximate. CTA train with 4000 series cars westbound from Cbicago. The green and white lights meant "Lake Street El". Photo taken looking east from end of the Cicero station platform. At the far left in the distance you can still see the two tall concrete coaling towers at the C&NW 40th Street yard. One is just to the right of the steam plume. The other further right. 40th Street (actually 40th Avenue) was named Pulaski Road in 1913 but the yard name stuck.
