Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, c. 1950. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5864 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5864 was constructed in February of 1948. In this context, they've just departed the Harrisburg Station with a passenger train bound for Altoona and points West. Note the six-axle Combine at the left. |
