| ITs amazing what a couple hours can do weather wise on the prairie. After making a stop at Family Dollar and a quick bite to eat at Sonic, storms had moved into the area. Pretty severe thunderstorms too. The lightning in them was quite impressive. Despite being issued under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, the main bulk of the rain, wind, and lightning stayed to the southeast of where we were so we were able to go back and take a couple parting shots before the train departed back for Denver. The weather didnt drive any of the crowd out so I had to dodge people anyway I could, but I did get some clear shots. May I add how it got significantly colder once the storms came in? |
