DMIR 2-10-2 #507 - Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range         
Sitting in what appears to be a storage/scrap line is DMIR 2-10-2 Santa Fe type #507. Built by Alco-Brooks in January of 1919 as DMN #507 (serial 60076, class E-1), the loco landed on the DMIR roster in 1938. After serving the DMN & DMIR for nearly 43 years, the loco was retired and sold for scrap in 1962. Specs = 57" drivers, 200 psiboiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 352,000 lb and tractive effort of 69,600 lb. Merlin Olive/Glenn H Davis photo
