WDTX 1408 shoves southbound Amtrak Cascades #503 into its terminus at Eugene. The Siemens Charger is one of 8 SC-44s the Department of Transport uses on Amtrka Cascades services in Washington and Oregon. The units were originally numbered 1400-1407. After the Point Defiance Bypass wreck of 2017, Charger 1402 was scrapped, and so 1408 was ordered as a replacement engine. |
