Here is page four of an 11-page cover article by Bert Pennypacker entitled "Atterbury's Engines: Part 1 ~ Great Increases In Horsepower And Speed." It was published originally in the October 1979 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 25. Top Photo: Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4700, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during October of 1923, renumbered "6699" in 1933, and retired in July of 1950. Bottom Two Photos: Shown here is PRR engine #6800, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1926 and retired in August of 1955.
