PPCX 800898 - "Nokomis"         
Built by the American Car & Foundry in 1947 for the Central of Georgia Railway as a segregated coach (white and black passengers had separate seating sections) No. 541. The car and its sister #542 were used on the Nancy Hanks Later the cars were renumbered 671 & 672. Both were sold to Algoma Central as #442 & 443 where they carried passengeres into the Canadian wilderness. Later, the Friends of 261 acquired them in 1998 and upgraded to 52 coach seats. The car "Nokomis" was named after Hiawatha’s grandmother, a fitting name for the Friends of 261 Milwaukee Road connection.
