Sitting in the scrap line at the Willard Ohio yard is Baltimore & Ohio 2-10-2 #531. Originally built by Baldwin in march of 1926 as B&O #6200, the massive and powerful Santa Fe type steam locomotive served well. The loco was renumbered in 1956 to B&O #531. With the age of the diesels dawning, this loco like many in its class was retired and scrapped in 1959.Specs - S-1a class, 64" drivers, 220 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine wt of 436,510 lb, impressive tractive effort of 84,300 lb.
