| CN was still quite slow so we decided to make a stop at the antique mall in Manteno. After looking around and buying a couple items, we continued south. When we got into Kankakee we heard westbound NS local B12 key up Homewood to ask for permission across the diamond in town. He had some MOW to clear up first, but the train still pulled by some really old abandoned buildings on the east side of town. Always wanted to catch a train in this spot. Maybe not with this leader, but the backdrop makes up for it! |
