There hadnt been a single blunder the entire day...up to this point. The daily IHB road train to and from Burns Harbor had finally found its way out of Hammond. Unfortunately, todays train was behind hauled by a pair of CSX GEs. Apparently, there was no spare IHB road power hanging around Gibson, which forced the crew of todays IHB 115 to use a pair of CSX motors which I would assume were not planned onto any CSX trains in the near future. Even the Burns Harbor yardmaster remarked that "they were a different color today", which was replied with "thats why we are so late". Oh well, at least the leader was a YN2 motor. |
