A CP Rail SD40-2 leads X500 up the Hill at 10 MPH due to the speed restriction at Trowbridge. Once upon a time, these SD40-2s were the rulers of the Plymouth Sub, hustling back and forth between Chicago and Canada. Now, with CP ordering more and more GEs and the removal of almost all of the CP trains from CSX, they are becoming increasingly rare here. When they do run though, they are always a welcome site. |
