Here is page five of a six-page article entitled "PRR Ventures In Locomotives." It was published originally in the October 1949 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 18. Top Photo: Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #378, an HH-1 (2-8-8-2) "Mallet" built by the American Locomotive Company as Norfolk-Western Railroad number "2046" during August of 1919, sold to the PRR and renumbered "378," and retired in July of 1948. Bottom Photo: Shown here is Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad #3004, a T-1 (2-10-4) steam locomotive built by the Lima Locomotive Works in July of 1930 and retired in July of 1953.
