ACL 2-10-2 #2002 - Atlantic Coast Line
Title:  ACL 2-10-2 #2002 - Atlantic Coast Line
Description:  This massive and powerful 2-10-2 Santa Fe type steam locomotive was built by Baldwin in September of 1925 for the Atlantic Coast line. This was a heavy hauler of freight for the ACL and served for 27 years before being scrapped at Waycross, GA, in December of 1952 when diesels took over. Specs - serial #58649, Q-1 class, 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine wt of 391,980 lb impressive tractive effort of 81,600 lb. ACL 2-10-2 #2006 - Atlantic Coast
Title:  ACL 2-10-2 #2006 - Atlantic Coast
Description:  This Atlantic Coast Line 2-10-2 locomotive #2006 is an excellent example of a Baldwin built USRA "Santa Fe-Heavy" locomotive. It was built in October of 1025 and served successively as a heavy hauler for the ACL. Unfortunately as diesels entered the roster, this loco and the entire Q-1 class disappeared. #2006 met the scrapper's torch in December of 1952 at the Waycross Georgia Yard. Specs - serial #58731, Q-1 class, 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine wt of 391,980 lb impressive tractive effort of 81,600 lb. Title:  ACL 2-10-2 #2013 - Atlantic Coast Line
Description:  Long and powerful are two descriptive words for the Atlantic Coast Line 2-10-2 #2013 built by Baldwin in October of 1925. The loco served as a heavy hauler for ACL until being sold through the Georgia Car and Locomotive Company to C&IM on 11/23/1951, first with the number CIM 706 and later in December, 1951 renumbered to CIM #753. It served the Chicago & Illinois Midland until retirement and scrapping in December of 1955. Specs - serial #58768, Q-1 class, 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine wt of 391,980 lb impressive tractive effort of 81,600 lb.
