Built by GE in March of 1940 as PRR 4889. Upon the merger of PRR and NYC, it became Penn Central 4889 seen here with the large "mating worms" logo. Eventually it slid over to the Conrail roster as CR 4889 where it was finally retired in February of 1980 and scrapped. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
